Project Summary

I led the design of a 0-to-1 robot control system in a fast-paced startup environment, developing a web-based interface to control real robot movements, including arm and hand motions, as well as sensors. Over a 2-month timeline, I managed the end-to-end process, from defining the project scope and gathering UX insights to delivering high-fidelity wireframes and handing them off to developers.

To kick off the project, I assessed the timeline, prioritized features, and participated in recruiting two additional designers to form a cohesive design team. During the first two weeks, we gathered user needs, explored technical feasibility, and defined feature priorities. The initial features included robot movement control, movement recording, and robot settings. We iterated 4-5 times on wireframes, incorporating user feedback at each stage to refine the design before finalizing our MVP.

For the MVP, we created a design system to ensure consistency across the team, delivering pixel-perfect designs that allowed developers to seamlessly use FireJet for direct UI export. The control feature is currently under development and is scheduled to launch in March
